Royal Lahaina Tennis Ranch Receives Awards From Top Tennis Organizations

LAHAINA, Hawaii (June 12, 2018) – Royal Lahina Tennis Ranch was named Facility of the Year for 2018 by the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) Hawaii division. The award recognizes facilities for encouraging professional development, making special contributions to the game and being affiliated with various industry organizations.

The news follows recent recognition from Tennis Resorts Online, an online travel guide for resorts and tennis destinations. Royal Lahaina Tennis Ranch claimed the top spot for Best Game Arranging in Tennis Resorts Online’s list of Top 100 Tennis Resorts and Camps for 2018. The list ranks international tennis resorts in more than a dozen categories, with game arranging referring to a service that arranges games between guests depending on skill level and availability.

“It’s an honor to receive top honors from USPTA and Tennis Resorts Online, both valuable resources for avid tennis enthusiasts,” said Tom Bell, president of Hawaiian Hotels and Resorts, the hotel management group for Royal Lahaina Resort. “The rankings recognize the significant investment we have made to develop a world-class tennis center with premier services and amenities for our guests.”

Later this year, Royal Lahaina Tennis Ranch will host an exclusive High Powered Doubles Tennis Camp from September 26 to 30, featuring doubles players Bob and Mike Bryan, tennis player and Olympic coach Tom Gullickson and other top-notch coaches. Serving up world-class tennis events since 1973, it is the only tennis facility in Hawaii with state-of-the-art Playsight SmartCourt technology, providing players with advanced technical resources including automatic line calling, instant multi-angle video replays and detailed statistics in every shot played on its courts.

The Governor of Hawaii mandated that as of Thursday March 26th, all new arrivals into Hawaii are required to complete a 14-day quarantine. “Stay in Place” policies have also been issued for some islands requiring all non-essential services to be closed. The health and safety of our guests and employees is paramount. We understand that collective action is needed to slow the progression of COVID-19, and because of this, we are joining many other hotels and businesses in temporarily closing the Hawaiian Hotels & Resorts Properties effective March 25, 2020.

We are currently scheduled to re-open on May 1, 2020 and are honoring existing bookings and accepting new reservations for travel from that date onward. We are closely monitoring the situation which has been changing rapidly and will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so, following guidance from the CDC, Hawaii Department of Health and state and local officials.

We will be waiving all fees for any guest reservations that include travel from March 15, 2020 thru December 20, 2020 that need to be cancelled or changed.

During these uncertain times, we are focused on supporting our staff members and community as best as we can. We will continue providing updates on our website and on our social media channels. We look forward to welcoming you soon.

Mahalo for your understanding and support.
Stay safe and healthy.
